Turn One Published Article Into On-Brand Posts for Three Channels

How the content app's repurposing tool turns one published article into Facebook posts, an X thread, and an email newsletter that still sound like you.

Writing one good article and then manually rewriting it three more times for social and email is the kind of work that gets skipped when a team is busy — which is exactly when repurposing would help most. The content app's repurpose automation does that rewriting for you, and it does it grounded in your own brand voice rather than a generic "make this shorter" prompt.

What it generates

By default, repurposing one article produces:

  • 3 Facebook posts
  • 1 X (Twitter) thread
  • 1 email newsletter

You can override the mix and ask for a different set of channels and counts, but those five variants are what you get out of the box from a single published article.

Why the output actually sounds like you

This isn't a plain "summarize this" call to a model. Before generating variants, the system retrieves relevant chunks from your workspace's Brand Voice index — the same index built from your own published articles — and filters specifically to the brand-voice-sourced material. That context goes into the generation request alongside the article text, so the rewrite is anchored to how you've actually written before, not a stylistically neutral rewording.

A requirement worth knowing about

Repurposing only works on articles that are already published — you can't generate channel variants from a draft still in review. That's deliberate: repurposing is meant to extend something you've already committed to putting out, not to generate content in parallel with a draft that might still change.

Where the results go

Each variant is saved as its own record, tied to the source article, with its own status — so you can review, edit, or discard a single Facebook post without touching the others. Nothing gets auto-published to any channel; repurposing produces the drafts, and getting them out the door is a separate, deliberate step, same as with any AI-generated content in the app.

Why brand-voice grounding matters here specifically

Generic repurposing tools convert format — long post to short post, article to thread — without touching tone. That's usually where the "this doesn't sound like us" complaint comes from. Because the repurpose flow pulls specifically from what you've already published, the output tends to read like an on-brand adaptation rather than a translation into a different voice.
