Optimisation Suggestions: Letting the Platform Flag Slow or Fragile Steps
Workflows can now surface suggestions about which steps in an automation are slow or fragile, directly from a new suggestions endpoint.
Workflows now has a suggestions endpoint that looks at a given workflow and flags steps worth a second look — the ones most likely to be slow or fragile.
What it does
Pull suggestions for any workflow and you get pointers toward the parts of it that stand out as candidates for improvement, rather than having to eyeball the whole automation yourself and guess where the weak points are.
Where it fits
This is a small, practical companion to two other things we're shipping alongside it: the reliability score, which tells you how a workflow has been behaving overall, and the dependency graph, which tells you what's connected to it. Suggestions is the third piece — pointing at specific steps worth attention rather than the workflow as a whole.
Who this helps
If you've inherited a workflow someone else built, or you're revisiting something you built months ago, this gives you a starting point instead of reading through every step cold. It won't rebuild anything for you — it's a pointer, not an autofix — but a pointer toward the right step is most of the work when a workflow has grown large enough that nothing obviously stands out.
We're keeping this one simple and factual: it's a signal, not a guarantee, and it's meant to save you the first pass of figuring out where to look.
