See Team Workload at a Glance in Tasks
Tasks adds a workload view showing how many tasks and hours each person is carrying across every project, so overload is visible before it becomes a problem.
Boards and the personal "My Tasks" view both show what an individual is working on, but neither one answers a question a project or team lead actually needs answered: across every project, is any one person carrying too much while someone else has room to take on more? Today's release adds a workload view that answers exactly that.
How it works
The workload view lists every person with access to a project — or, at the workspace level, every person across all projects a manager has visibility into — with a row showing their assigned task count and, for teams using the time tracking shipped earlier, their logged and estimated hours for the current period. Rows are color-coded against a configurable capacity threshold, so someone clearly over capacity stands out immediately rather than requiring someone to count up their tasks by hand. Tasks can be reassigned directly from this view by dragging a task from an overloaded person's row to someone with more room, without opening each task individually.
Where this is useful
This is aimed squarely at the planning moment every project lead faces regularly: deciding who takes on new work, and noticing before a deadline that one person's board is quietly twice as full as everyone else's. It's also useful during project kickoff, when assigning a new batch of tasks across a team benefits from seeing existing load rather than assigning blind.
What's included
Task-count and hours-based workload views, configurable capacity thresholds, and drag-to-reassign are live today. Workload forecasting — projecting a person's load a few weeks out based on tasks with future due dates, not just current assignments — is planned for a follow-up release.
The workload view is available now on Tasks plans above the starter tier, accessible from any project alongside boards, lists, and the timeline view.
