Calendar View for Your Task Board

Tasks now has a calendar view alongside kanban and table, so you can see your board laid out by due date instead of by column or row.

Tasks now has a calendar view, joining kanban and table as a way to look at the same board of work.

What it is

Instead of columns by status or rows in a table, calendar view lays your tasks out by date — so anything with a due date shows up where it falls on the calendar, giving you a time-based read on your board rather than a status-based one.

Why this is a different lens, not a replacement

Kanban answers "what's in progress." Table answers "give me every field at once." Calendar answers a question neither of those handles well: "what's actually due this week." It's the same underlying tasks and the same board — just a different way of looking at the same data, and you can switch between all three depending on what you're trying to see.

Where this fits

A calendar view alongside board and table views is a standard expectation at this point — it's on the feature list of most serious project tools for exactly this reason: due-date-driven work doesn't read well in a kanban column. Tasks now covers that view directly, without needing to export anything to a separate calendar app to see your deadlines laid out.

If your team tends to think in "what's due when" rather than "what column is this in," calendar view is the one to switch to by default.
