Structured Content Beyond the Blog: Collections and Folders

Collections bring reusable structured data — products, team bios, case studies — into Piskes Website Builder, with eight built-in presets and folders to keep them organized.

Most website builders treat "content" as pages and a blog. Piskes Website Builder's collections are a third kind: reusable structured data — products, team bios, case studies, job listings — that behaves like a small database wired directly into your site, not a page you write by hand for every entry.

What ships as a collection

Eight ready-made collection types are built in: Case Studies, Products, Solutions, Industries, Insights, Blog, Careers, and News. Each comes with a field set tuned to what that content actually needs — Products, for instance, gets a code, size, packing, and minimum order instead of a price, since a stale price on a public page costs more than no price at all. Careers gets a closing date and an apply-to email up front, because that's what a candidate decides on before reading a single word of the description.

Folders keep collections organized

As a site accumulates collections beyond the basics, folders let you group them — separating, say, a company's public-facing case studies from an internal FAQ collection — without that structure bleeding into the URLs visitors see.

Pages generate themselves when you haven't designed one

Every collection needs a detail page and an index page. If you haven't built one by hand, Piskes generates both directly from the collection's fields — title, summary, cover image, and metadata laid out automatically, styled with your site's own color scheme. It's not as polished as a hand-designed template, but it means an imported batch of products or news items never quietly 404s just because nobody got around to designing a page for them.

Collections are available on every site today, with the eight built-in presets as a starting point or a foundation for a fully custom structure.
