Batch Email Queue: Cancel, Retry, and Process Visibility
Email's send queue now supports batch operations, per-message cancellation, and visibility into processing — not just a fire-and-forget send.
Sending a campaign to a real list is rarely a single clean action — messages queue up, some need to be pulled back, and someone eventually wants to know what actually happened to each one. Email's queue system now supports exactly that level of control: batch operations, per-message cancellation, and real visibility into what's processing and what isn't.
What you can do now
The queue supports adding messages in batches rather than one at a time, which matters once you're working at campaign scale rather than sending individually. Beyond that, you can cancel a specific queued message by its ID before it goes out — useful the moment you notice a mistake after hitting send but before delivery — and trigger processing directly rather than only waiting on a background schedule. Alongside all of that, the queue now exposes what's actually happening to each message, so "did that send?" has a real answer instead of a guess.
Why this matters for anyone sending real volume
A queue you can only add to and never inspect or correct is fine for a handful of test sends, but it breaks down fast at real campaign volume, where mistakes happen and need a way back. Being able to cancel a specific message, check on processing, and work in batches turns the queue from a one-way pipe into something your team can actually operate and trust.
Where to find it
This is available now as part of Email's queue management — reachable from the same area where you manage and monitor campaign sends.
