Ads App Now Ships a Full Campaign-Type Catalog for Planning
The Ads app now includes a 32-entry campaign-type catalog spanning five platforms, built for planning — not yet connected to live campaign execution.
Before you spend a dollar on any ad platform, there's a planning question that's genuinely hard to answer without opening five different platforms and comparing their documentation by hand: which campaign type, on which platform, actually fits what you're trying to do? The Ads app now ships a dedicated catalog built to answer exactly that.
What's in it
The new "All Campaign Types" view lists 32 campaign types spanning five platforms — Google, Meta, TikTok, X, and Telegram — each entry carrying its platform, category, objective, who it's best suited for, its pricing model, and an average cost figure. It's a reference you can scan by objective (awareness, consideration, conversion, engagement) rather than having to already know a platform's own terminology going in.
What it is, and what it plainly isn't
We want to be exact about this rather than let the catalog's polish overstate what's behind it: the page itself says "Integration Coming Soon," and the catalog states directly that "these campaign types are shown for planning purposes." Nothing in this catalog connects to a live ad account, launches a real campaign, or syncs actual spend from any platform. It's a planning reference, not a campaign manager — you can use it to decide what you'd want to run and roughly what it should cost, but launching and managing that campaign still happens on the ad platform itself for now.
Why it's useful anyway
A catalog like this earns its place even without live execution behind it, because the planning question it answers — which campaign type fits my goal, and roughly what should I expect to pay — is one you have to work through before you touch any platform's ad manager regardless. Having that comparison already assembled, in one place, across five platforms, saves the research step most people currently do by opening five browser tabs.
We'll follow up with a clear announcement when live campaign execution connects to any of these platforms. Until then, treat this catalog as exactly what it says it is: a planning tool.
