21 New Vendors Join the OpenRouter BYOK Model Registry

The AI Gateway's BYOK model registry adds flagship models from 21 new vendors sourced directly from OpenRouter's live catalogue.

If you connect your own OpenRouter key to the AI Gateway (BYOK), the list of models you can reach just got a lot bigger. We pulled OpenRouter's live catalogue — 445 models across 59 vendors at the time — and added flagship entries from vendors the gateway previously had no listing for at all: Qwen, DeepSeek, Z.ai, NVIDIA, Moonshot AI, Meta's Llama 4 line, Tencent, ByteDance Seed, Amazon Nova, IBM Granite, Nous Research, and InclusionAI, among others.

Every added entry — pricing, context window, capabilities — is copied from OpenRouter's own response rather than typed by hand, so it should match what OpenRouter actually reports for that model.

A couple of corrections landed in the same pass

The existing openrouter/meta-llama/llama-3.3-70b-instruct entry had placeholder pricing that's now corrected against the live catalogue, and openrouter/anthropic/claude-sonnet-4.5's context window was stale at 200,000 tokens — it's actually 1,000,000, and now shows as such. We also added an entry for openrouter/anthropic/claude-sonnet-5, mirroring the direct (non-OpenRouter) Claude entry already in the registry.

One gap this doesn't close yet

These 21-plus vendors are now usable for BYOK chat requests, which read the registry directly. They are not yet visible in the public /v1/models catalog — that endpoint's OpenRouter listing filter needs a separate fix, which is a related but distinct piece of work. If you're building against the public catalog rather than connecting an OpenRouter key directly, this particular update doesn't change what you see there yet.

Where this shows up

Anywhere you're using an OpenRouter BYOK connection today — the model picker will simply have more options the next time you look.
